Day 1. Punta Arenas
Arrival at the city of Punta Arenas where you will be met by our local representative, to be later transferred to the selected hotel. During the afternoon, before dinner, you will receive instructions in relation with the norms that should be followed in Antarctica and about the procedures of embarkation and disembarkation.
Later, you will enjoy a welcome dinner at the Jose Nogueira Hotel, a centenary French style mansion, where you will have the chance to meet your expedition mates. D
Day 2. Punta Arenas - South Shetlands - Expedition Cruise vessel
Our Antarctic adventure begins. Flight from Punta Arenas to King George Island (South Shetland Islands).
The flight takes a little under 2 hours. Upon arrival we will be able to tour around the area where the "Presidente Eduardo Frei M." Chilean Base and "Bellinghausen" Russian Base are located. We will gather at the beach on Fildes Bay for embarkation, by Zodiac boats, to M/V "Ocean Nova". BLD
Days 3 to 6. Antarctica Peninsula
As we cruise between the South Shetland Islands and the Peninsula , sailing along ice-filled fjords and between spectacular icebergs, we will enjoy the company of sea birds, penguins, seals and whales.
Our Journey toward the south may include visits to some of the most magnificent spots in the white continent such as: Hannah Point, Port Lockroy, Petermann Island, Paradise Bay, Cuverville and Deception Islands amongst others.
Our adventure will be full, with daily landings and cruises in zodiacs boats, selected lectures and an enjoyable time on board. BLD all days
Day 7. South Shetlands - Punta Arenas
We return to King George Island where we will disembark in Zodiac boats, at Fildes Bay by "Presidente Eduardo Frei M." Chilean Base, and head to the "Teniente Marsh" aerodrome to take the flight back to Punta Arenas. The trip officially ends on your arrival into Punta Arenas. Day 8. Depart for home. Transfer to airport. B

Most flights to Punta Arenas fly via Santiago Chile. The flight from Santiago to Punta Arenas is a domestic flight and as such it is recommended that you allow for an overnight in Santiago and Punta Arenas on your outward bound journey to avoid missed connections. Your first and last nights accommodation in Punta Arenas is included in your cruise price.
Due to the repositioning of the vessel at the begining and end of the season the first and last departure of the season includes only ONE air leg.
IE the first departure of the season is via sea from USHUAIA ARGENTINA to the Antarctica peninsula with a return flight from South Shetland's back to PUNTA ARENAS CHILE. This departure is 5 days in length.
The last departure of the season involves a flight to TO the South Shetland's from PUNTA ARENAS CHILE and a return journey from the Antarctica Peninsula to USHUAIA ARGENTINA by sea. This departure is 8 days in length.
